Haven't been feeling well for a few days, have had a sickness bug and haven't been able to keep much down.
Sitting on my laptop in bed watching YouTube just now and all of a sudden with no warning, my eyesight went totally black, my head was pounding, I felt warm all over and my arms were tingling. It went within 10 seconds or so but I genuinely was terrified for those 10 seconds.
Something to worry about or just related to being dehydrated etc?

You must be shattered @whatfreshhellisthisnow

Just a little!

they have taken bloods and are going to give me IV fluids, painkillers and anti sickness medication. Still waiting on the blood results.

I can’t complain at all, they have been very speedy this morning.

common before fainting likely due to dehydration

Fluids and medication done and back home - bloods ok bar the dehydration - have medication for next week.

thank you again to everyone for your comments and kind words (especially those in the wee hours when I was on my own)

Why are you writing breathless nonsense at me?!

Obviously, everybody who blacks out should very definitely always phone an ambulance. No question at all. Unless the person has another way to get emergency medical care.

But you keep on doing whatever you like in response to people blacking out. I don't care.

I’m not the one writing nonsense. NHS advice is that you see a GP if you faint, and only go to a&e if there’s an additional concern such as injuring yourself if you fall over. It’s not an emergency every time someone faints!

TBF, if it was fatal, she wouldn't have posted and wouldn't be feeling anything.

Exactly 💯
