Unemployed following depression and feeling lost in Life, any advice?

I left my highly pressured corporate job nearly a month ago, not a very nice ending, signed a settlement agreement and left quietly, only one colleague reached out to say bye. Been struggling with depression for 6 months, they couldn't support me, I needed support to get back to full capacity, so yeh, it didn't work out. I'm ok that it's ended. Its what worked best for me and them.

But now I feel a bit lost. I'm still recovering. I'm trying to be gentle with myself and have a little breathing space before I job hunt again (thankfully as I couldn't face it currently).

I'm not really sure why I'm posting this, has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice? Any joyful suggestions I can do to heal my soul? Any words of wisdom?

Please be gentle with me, I'm still fairly broken

I’ve been here. One day at a time. Try to get out in the fresh air for a walk every day, this one simple thing made a big difference to me and some days I allowed it to be the only thing I did because it was all I could manage. Try to get out and be social with people who know you well and love you. This can be very grounding and remind you that the old you is still in there. It really is the small simple things that slowly lift you out of it and rebuild your sense of self.

I've had similar, and volunteering helped a lot - just working in a busy charity shop warehouse. Sorting through the donations. Feeling like I was being productive, and being with people really helped.

Do things that bring you joy, even if they aren't feeling very joyful at the moment. Take your time, show yourself compassion and love.
