Do Abercrombie Love Curve jeans loosen up and which size fits best?

I have a size 28-29” waist and 42” hips and I’ve discovered that A&F have a Love Curve range. Tried some on in store today and oh my days, they went on so easily! However, I’m not sure what size I should buy. I tried on both a 28L and 29L pair of their wide jeans.

The 29L felt amazing on but they were a little loose on the waist (photo on left). The 28L felt a little tight around the bum/crotch area but they were comfortable (photo on right - the jeans look like they are literally being eaten but they aren’t as tight as they look 😂).

Do A&F jeans tend to loosen up? Not sure what size to buy. I’m starting a diet next week and my intention is to loose 7-14lbs but not expecting my measurements to change all that much as I’m 5’8”.

Edited to add - both fit me nicely at the waist. It is my top that is bulging, not fat.

Yes, the 29L definitely look better.

I think you need to go up to a 30
They are clingy in both sizes and look a bit Mum jean as a result sorry 😬

Just saw you are trying to lose weight, I would wait and see what fits you best then

Ahhh, I think it looks that way because I’m posing with my leg forward. The top I’m wearing isn’t tucked it properly either so it looks like I am bulging over the jeans which I’m not. The 29L actually had a gap at the waist and was baggy on the bum. The 30 would be huge!

I honestly feel like the 29L are really baggy around the bum area. They are ridiculously comfy though. I think it is my pose that makes them look a bit clingy on that front photo!

They are up your bum and are too short imo. I think you need a longer leg which hopefully will also have a bigger rise and won't get munched by your bum

The 29L (on the left) are the long size. I’m 5’8”. The jeans were on the floor. The jeans on the right were 28R (sorry I’ve put 28L on my original post) and these were too short I agree. Unfortunately there wasn’t a 28L for me to try on!

The smaller ones scooch under and up your bum. They don’t look good.
Maybe wait until you’ve lost the weight and then try them again as both of them will fit differently.

The 29 looks much better. You look slimmer in them.
