Sickness following maternity at NHS

Hi just wondering if anyone would be able to help? I’m at the end of my maternity leave (1 year, 3 months unpaid) but have some health complications and unable to return to work in the short term. I have 10 years NHS experience. Does anyone know if I would be entitled to sick pay having been on maternity leave, with the last 3 months having been unpaid?

You need to check your NHS Maternity Leave Policy/Procedure as the NHS may be different to a company. Sometimes it is stipulated that you need to return for a minimum period of time. I have no experience of NHS maternity leave though.

Not NHS but I went from mat leave to sick leave and I was still entitled to the sick leave as the mat leave was treated separately.
