I cried and spent the evening playing her songs. RIP Dolly.

What a legend.

I wasn’t particularly a fan of her music . I did always think that she came across as a lovely and caring person who did so much charitable work and used her earnings for good causes eg literacy .

The clips they played on the news showed her to be very intelligent with a quick sense of humour . I also liked that she was apolitical and didn’t want to come down on one side of the political spectrum. She was also very astute and lots of people underestimated her in business etc .

I’m glad she’s had a long and plentiful life in many ways. I’m proud she never became a diva, gave back to the world, and did so much good for others. I’m sad she’s gone, really sad 😔 but glad she lived to 80 - she’s a legend ❤️💕
