Husband hasn't been able to get / sustain an erection for over two years now. The last time we attempted sex in April I told him to go to gp. Thinking he might have prostrate or artery issues.
I would be OK with this new normal if he was prepaired to take some action or responsibility. But it's coming up five months and he has "been to busy" "feels embarrassed" yet he went to the gp maybe three years ago now about his erectile disfunction. I think the time lag would be more embarrassing personally that it's only got worse and he has done nothing.
I think he would be happy if could go in his place, but it's not my medical issue. I keep asking every month or so but now I have got to the point where asking is making me feel like I'm a desperate sex pest. In turn I'm getting to the point where I can't imagine ever having sex ever again due to his pride. He clearly is in rush to have sex with me again that I'm certain of.
He doesn't feel like a partner any more, as sex was only time he touches me. Now he won't even hold my hand or cuddle me. It's like all intimacy has gone. Also I'm not interested in sex any more as he will not do the one thing I have asked of him which is see the gp. Not that he trys to initiate sex anyway.
When do you stop asking? He is 52. Feels like I'm 82. Is that the end of my sex life? Due to his ego? He said he was worried what the gp would think of him and it's conjured up a image of the gp crying that my dh couldn't sexaully satisfy the gp. But dh has no qarms about the only person willing to have sex with him isn't impressed. Of all the humans who need to think dh is viral, his wife isn't on the list. I was understanding but five months? I'm.pissed off and reconsidering my sexless future now.
Is there any point trying marriage counselling?
