Norethisterone - Period delay tablets

I’ve been reading loads of old threads on this but wanted to post a new one to get some recent experiences. I’m reading a lot of negative experiences particularly revolving around mood, acne and bloating. Weighing up the negatives/positives. I’ve ordered the
medication but still debating taking them or not. I’m due on 3 days into a 10 day holiday abroad.
Has anyone taken these recently and had a positive experience?

I took a double dose for 10 months until very recently. No side effects at all while on them but if I ever stopped for any amount of time, I'd end up in hospital due to heavy bleeding (haemorrhaging level bleeding). However, I had underlying gynae issues so this might not apply. Bear in mind that on stopping, some people bleed very heavily.

I used them in March to stop my period the day before my wedding/honeymoon - the previous month was late, which messed up my meticulous planning!

I had no issues at all, all worked fine. I stopped taking the course on the last day of my honeymoon (day 6) and my period came 2.5 days later. It was a bog standard period and so has every one been since.

The thing is, the threads you read online tend to be the people who have issues. It's confirmation bias. Same as you only really read about the arsehole husbands on here. The ones in happy marriages aren't often starting threads to tell everyone 😅

I ordered mine online from Boots, who were super helpful. I was originally going to get Utovlan, but it turned out that was only available for home delivery, which wouldn't get to me in time. So, I called Boots, who changed my order and the norethisterone prescription was able to be sent to my local chemist for pick up the next day.
