I remember when I was about 10 (admittedly in the late 80s!) I started getting into makeup, fashion etc but the models we looked up to were late teens. We didn't have children our own age or younger advertising these products?! If anything it seems to normalise the idea of kids shilling products and selling directly to that vulnerable age group.

Free publicity is not going to harm sales either.

Me either. Having read the article it seems to be kid friendly stuff at pocket money prices, it says between £1 and £3. Superdrug already stock plastic jewellery and hair accessories aimed at children and I don't see the harm in little girls having a bit of lip balm.

What is wrong with these companies that they use these talentless children of talentless ‘celebs’ to represent their brands? And what is wrong with the customers who will increase their profits as a result?

This is hardly a new thing. She's already on a Netflix show and she stood out so much amongst all the others that she became somewhat of a star on the show.

You can hardly call her the child of a talentless celebrity, her father was champion of the world in hus sport.

Brand deals are the way of the world now and I'm glad they are opening them up to different types of people. As a gypsy myself I've never seen us represented in this way so I'm really happy about it.

How are 8 year olds to know about these products unless they’re promoted on social media (which 8 year olds should not have access to, let alone have the Fury family as role models) or by dumbo parents who should be reading books to them, or taking them to the park, not buying them lip balms which no child needs.

By seeing them in the shop when shopping with a parent who needs to buy other things the shop sells. And you do realise its not either/or, my DD was taken to the park and library frequently and still liked a hair accessory and a cheap plastic bracelet to wear while doing these activities.

Makeup aimed at kids has been around for donkeys years so I don't know why there's so much pearl clutching at this range.

It's always ' pearl clutching" anytime someone has a concern.
