Jesus H, my blood pressure.

DD trying to apply online for her provisional. All good and all info entered correctly until almost at final hurdle and payment and we’re prompted to check info ahead of payment and house number shows as 3. Should be 33. She input 33 and it was confirmed back to her initially.

Called DVLA who were utterly useless claiming it’s either a device issue (we’ve tried several different ones and browsers) or an input error (so why did your screen return correct info initially?). Called the One Log in team and can see that her details are correct there.

So bow we are look looking at doing it by snail mail meaning more £ and a physical photo will be needed.

Had anyone else been in this position and know of a quicker solution?

Its needed for ID for when she’s 18 middle of next month and apparently paper apps are taking 3/4 weeks 😞

So it seems I need to either pay with a cheque (have not used a cheque for years and don’t think I even still have a cheque book) or postal order.

What a fucking ball ache.

Is it too early to have a drink? 😳

My dh did his a few months back, a paper application took a week!

Ugh i'm going around in circles too. Recently moved house and the V5C for the car has disappeared - we've looked everywhere, unpacked every box that might have paperwork in it, just gone. But - you need some special number off the paper copy of the old V5C to get a new V5C with the new address on it. You can't get a replacement V5C if any of the details eg. the address have changed.

So I'm now ordering a replacement V5C with the old address on it, only to use the number on that to immediately order another V5C with the new address on it?! Such a waste of everyone's time and money...

(And this time, when I get these V5Cs, I'm taking pictures of them and emailing them to myself!! )

Ahhh man. It’s so unnecessarily stressful isn’t it?!!

And I’ve just seen a postal order is likely to cost me a fiver as well. 🙄
