Hi, this is the first time I’m in this situation so apologies if it’s a daft/total none question, but I can only find online if the bonus sends you over £100k.
My annual bonus was paid in June and I got the text asking me to reconfirm tax free childcare yesterday, which I did straight away. It’s normally approved within 10-15 mins or so, however this time the message says ‘we’re checking your availability for Free Childcare for Working Parents…you can expect to receive a reply from us within 10 days’.
I’m still way below £100k even with the bonus (and my DH isn’t anywhere near, I’m the main earner). The bonus was broken out on my payslip (albeit not titled bonus bus something like DC2026); my point being my salary amount was still in line with previous months bar a small % increase. Is the recheck a straight forward thing that’s triggered for anyone who gets a bonus? I get paid at the end of this week so they’ll be able to see that it’s back to a ‘typical’ month.
Again sorry for the stupid question - the rational side of me is saying of course it’s fine because you’re not over £100k or even in danger of getting near and it’ll all be sorted, but the other side of me is panicking a bit as we’re changing to the school nursery in September and I don’t want any hiccups!
