Wedding flowers

Hi, I volunteered to do my nieces wedding flowers ( bouquet and table decorations). Wedding in August , small family do in a village and bride is very laid back to the point of horizontal ( so no stress or pressure from her).

now I’m not a florist but I’ve done flowers for friends and Christmas wreaths and I’m quite crafty but I’m now getting a bit nervous- found a lovely lady who has a flower farm nearby and ordered bucket loads from her but she doubts they’ll have roses that time of year. All the arrangements I’ve looked at have roses and I really want to order some along with delphinium and few other extra flowers .

so my question- has anyone used an online wholesaler for flowers? Is there anywhere I can buy UK grown roses that time of year?

Also it would be nice to hear from any florists , amateur or professional , for advice and suggestions.

sorry for the long post xx

Roses will be nursery grown in August. Does it have to be roses?

I got married a very long time ago and had a vision of blousy, overblown bouquet and flowers, and wanted blue in the colour scheme. Both the church flower lady and the lady who did the bouquet, shook their heads and said blue wasn't great as recessive. A no no in the dark church but there was a bit of delphinium in the bouquet alongside white and light and dark pink roses.

The table flowers for the reception ticked my boxes - delphinium, swert peas and whatever else was in the garden.
