Leaving a mattress in my garden waiting for it to be special uplifted

theres literally no space at all in my house to keep it even under a bed which is what I would have done but I can’t

it will be outside for 3 weeks which I also wouldn’t want to happen I couldn’t get a bulky uplift until then. I’m going to chance it putting it out with the blue bins in a weeks time see if it could be taken then if not it will be out for 3 weeks

can I get complaints for this I stay in a council house. It’s tucked away in my own personal garden. I didn’t want to leave it next to the bins as it’s a double one I would have if it was a single one

Have you contacted your council about having it collected ? Ours is usually pretty fast

It will be okay outside in your garden until the council collect it in 3 weeks. We always have a couple of weeks wait for bulky collections.

Is it the council collecting it? It will be fine. I wouldn’t put it out with the general bins

i’ve always found the bulky waste is collected a lot earlier then they quote. Usually early on a weekend morning

Check the rules as here the council won’t collect it unless you’ve wrapped it in plastic (to stop it getting wet and too heavy).

My bulky waste is £53 for 4 items but a bed, headboard and mattress are classed as 3

its £63 for 5 items. A dining table and 4 chairs are classed as 5 items

they even charge extra for the cushions on your sofa
