Rsvps Childs party

I've booked a party for my soon to be 4 year old. As I wasnt sure of all the children at nursery he plays/ interacts with the most i asked nursery for a list of names.
They gave me 12, the minimum to book is 10, birthday child included so I booked for 13.
So far only 5 have RSVPd, 1 of which cannot make it.
I dont mind other children at nursery coming to the party as I think there are others who attend on the same days as him.

Would it be bad if I asked for more names to keep the numbers up? It's £15 per child so I do need to keep tabs on the amount of children coming, but at the same time I am concerned we won't hit the 10 minimum. We have until the 19th July to finalise the booking with numbers, and some children at nursery will leave for the summer holidays due to them only attending term time , so therefore I will not be able to get invitations out past that date.

I would first of all message the non replies.
How did you do the invitations ? Do you know that people actually received them or are they in the bottom of a bag? Was there a deadline to rsvp ?

This time of year is really busy . I would expect the attendance rate to be 50% of those invited . Maybe change your booking to 10. Firstly chase a few people up and then invite a few more - making sure that the parent actually sees the invitation.

Invitations were given by staff to the parents when they collected.
I can change the booking adding or removing attendees until 7 days before the party.
