Hi all. So I was diagnosed with AS in 2023 so already suffer with issues.my left leg isn't as strong as my right and sometimes get foot drop. Previous sacroiliitis and pattial fusion on tight s.i joint etc and have had weakness for a while doen below aswell as other issues so have been sent for 2 scans in past to rule out cauda equina. My last one in april showed no CE but minimal interval progression of l5-s1 lumbar spondylosis with left s1 nerve root irritation. Literally recieved a text to say " your mri showed some pressure on a left sided nerve root. If symptoms worsening speak with a GP again"
Well yesterday whilst at the park with the kids I had a football kicked at my lower back hard (by accident) and my back and ribs tensed up it took my breath away.then after that ive had few random spasms amd burning pn and off.then thismorning i wokeup I thiught I was starting an early period due to feeling myself leak a little which then done even more as I stood up. Turns out it was not a period.was obviously leaking urine. I dont feel like I have numbness, its more like a constant weird pressure now and random slight burning fown below cobstantly feeling like i need a wee but everytimr i go its a tiny amount. Plus because I alreasy deal with footdrop and slight numbness for years i don't know when or what more to look out for?

Yes, please do this.

If your symptoms have changed following an injury you should get checked out. Caida Equina needs fast response or nerve damage can be permanent. 111 will just send you to a and e so I would go there if I were you.

A and E now, right now. Ring an ambulance of you can't get in a car they will take this very seriously. A family member didn't have any numbness but was left with spinal injury as they didn't present in the usual way so wasn't treated in time. Go now.
