My daughter has been offered her first job after uni with a 6 month probationary period. She’d like to rent closer to her place of work. Will she have problems renting because of the probationary period ?

I would say that is her private business. Never tell a LL more than you have to about yourself. \is she planning to rent as room in a shared house or lodge?

She’s planning to rent a flat via an agency.

You can be her guarantor probably.

I’d just not volunteer this information unless they asked - but just an FYI - letting agents do however asked for employers references. We write a lot of these for people at work and a lot of the forms ask the number of hours and whether it’s a temporary or permanent contract etc but most jobs have a 6 months probation period so this is fairly standard.
