Can I ask why some people feel the need to put those silly headbands on baby girls? They must be so uncomfortable especially when it’s hot

I don’t like seeing babies wearing head bands or shoes!!!

They look ridiculous - some are as big as the baby’s head. Can’t be comfortable.

I don’t think they look pretty or flattering (?) at all, they just draw attention to the baby’s head.

DS was a pretty baby and I got used to people asking whether he was a boy or a girl, it takes two seconds to reply and I never got irritated. —Even when a friend said he was too pretty to be a boy—

Yes I can’t stand them. Only seem to see them on American babies on instagram etc, hopefully not becoming a thing here. Big bows on newborns and some babies never not wearing one. It does seem to be a ‘look it’s a GIRL baby’ god forbid anyone think it could be a boy sort of mark. Strange.

Massive headbands and pierced baby ears make me sad.

I agree in general but piercing girl babies’ ears is a cultural thing in some countries,
like Spain.

I said to my husband that he hadn't booked me a newborn photo shoot with stupid headbands where baby is stuffed into a flowerpot or a toadstool 🤣🤣🤣

They’re horrible. Very tacky looking and can’t be comfortable for the kid wearing them.

It looks really chavvy. As chavvy as a baby can look.

Babies are beautiful as they are. They don’t need decorating.
