I’ve come to the end of my Mounjaro journey, 40lb gone since November 2025.
I know when I started seeing people’s transformations really helped me go for it so thought I’d share mine.

I’m definitely not sharing photos, but I went from a porky 188lbs to, as of this morning, 132lbs. So 56 pounds gone. I stopped MJ about a year ago and have not gained, in fact I’ve lost a bit more 🎉

Staring BMI was 27.8, it’s now 19.5.

Boreded · 31/05/2026 21:47

I’m interested to know how bad the skin sag was and whether it did tighten up or need surgery. I’m hoping to lose between 102 and 130lbs but I’m conscious that I will probably need surgery EVERYWHERE if I do it.

good job guys who have made it to your goal

Pinkie89 · 31/05/2026 23:18

Wow you look great! I wish I had the guts to do it. I’ve just gone up to a size 14 so not huge but I can’t stop eating!

Has anyone that’s scared of needles been able to inject themselves?

I haven't used WLIs but I don't think that weight loss not using them or using them would make this any different, I could be wrong though, I'm sure someone will correct me if I am. But I've lost 112 pounds in 13 months and i have a tiny bit of loose skin on my stomach, as in I can barely even pinch it, I definitely don't need surgery. It depends on a lot of things. I was prepared for loose skin though, for me it would show my progress and it's healthier to have some loose skin than to be overweight.

Ah that’s great to hear. I’m worried that I’ll just be like those horror pictures you see where you have to tuck flaps of skin into your clothes.

im really pleased that’s not been the case for you, and I agree, I’m not expecting a tight body, I am just beyond worried about nightmare skin. Maybe the images I’ve seen are of people who have lost 200 lbs.

good job on your weight loss

SilenceInside · 01/06/2026 00:04

I’m not sharing photos either but the before, July 2024, was BMI 50 and weight was 22 stone or 140kg. Now I’m BMI 25 and weight is 10st 11lbs or so, which is about 70kg I think.

My bmi is 28, I would like to have mounjaro. Would I be able to get it on the nhs? Or go with a private provider?

Definitely private with that BMI, and the NHS don’t currently do MJ due to cost.

good job on your weight loss

I've just seen a woman on tiktok who has lost 300lbs, she's trying on clothes and in shorts you can see she does have loose skin on her thighs but it's definitely not a horror or nightmare situation or any flaps of skin or anything. I think it depends on lots of things and I'm sure there's things you can do to limit it but even if you do get it, remember it's a sign of your progress!

Thank you 😊

The only area that was concerning to me regarding sagging was my bum, it’s gone really flat.
Ive started strength training, 3 classes a week at the gym and it’s definitely helping.

I know it's different for everyone - but how much lose skin do you have? (I'm currently 141 with a goal of 70kg so the same weight loss) X

@pitchblackromance I don't have loads of loose skin like the kind of hanging folds that you see on social media of people who have lost a lot of weight. I have some crepey sagginess on my upper arms, but really not that bad considering. I have always had stretch marks in that area so wasn't expecting it to be great and I never show my upper arms anyway. I have a squidgy stomach, but again it's not as bad as I worried about. It doesn't hang down like a large apron and looks absolutely fine in clothes. I have had two pregnancies with large babies, and two c sections, so again I wasn't expecting much. The area that surprised me the most was my upper inner thighs. They are crepey and a little bit saggy, but again not any areas of hanging folds or anything. I think they will improve with time and more exercise. No one other than my DP will see that area though, so I don't especially care about it. I am also nearer to 50 than 40, and age is a big factor when it comes to skin elasticity, as well as genetics.

I think my stomach area will also improve over time, I also need to lose a little more weight to get to my final target and I think that will help too.

With the loose/crepey skin, my feeling on it is that the damage was already done when I was 22st and I was as wide as I was tall. Losing the weight wasn't the cause of the crepey skin, it just revealed it!

Overtheatlantic · 01/06/2026 11:59

I’ve got lots of crepe but it’s my upper arms that bother me the most. It seems like every top and dress are sleeveless 🥴 I’m starting with the 5 lb weights later this week and will be doing curls 4 times per week, reps of 3.

I lost around 100lbs going from 16st to 9st and the sag hasn’t been bad at all. Sure I have a tiny bit of crepiness in my armpit and right at the very top of my inner thigh but it’s not noticeable. I do have a disaster of a stomach but that was due to having a very large baby in my second pregnancy and the stretch and sagging was already there.
What I do think was the most important though was that I exercised all the way through from the beginning of taking MJ. I see so many people on here saying they hit target and are going to start toning up - just feel like doing both really may have contributed to not having loads of saggy skin. Anecdotal of course but I think it’s bonkers that people do no exercising while losing lots of weight; the muscle and bone mass alone is worth preserving and building for mobility and longevity if nothing else.

It’s barely a needle, it’s so tiny you barely feel it. I was a tight size 14 and am now a 8/10, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.

I absolutely could not do it myself. My husband does it.

just get a buddy, partner, older child, parent. Someone will help

I’ve lost 27kg starting a year ago. Very happy with the results, though I don’t want to share pics. Some loose skin on my lower tummy which I’m not enjoying but I never expected to come out of this with the body I had when I was 20!

I’ve been exercising throughout - walking and pilates with some weights thrown in for good measure.

It’s lovely to look in the mirror and feel good about what I see.
