We love the beach at Sea Palling. Parking and access is easy and there's a couple of places to eat. It's about 25 mins down the coast towards Great Yarmouth from where you're staying.

Depending on how old your kids are, you could rent a boat on the broads for a few hours in Potter Heigham. There's also nice places to eat there. The Falgate Inn in Potter Heigham does nice food and has a beer garden. Again about 25 mins away from Mundesley.

Have a great trip!

I'm in Norfolk. Loads of lovely beaches to choose from: Cromer is very nearby to Mundesley and great for fish and chips and crabbing on the pier. There are a few arcades, ice-cream shops and local shops. There is a mini golf course on the sea front. You can do a nice walk from Cromer to Overstrand and a nice pub at the end of the walk, with a beer garden, food and a play area.
There's also a lovely pub (not sure what the food is like now) with beautiful views across the cliffs to the sea at East Runton called the Dormy. West Runton is great for fossil hunting and rock pools.
Norwich is near if you fancy some heritage.
There's also a lovely restaurant called the Village Inn at West Runton. Really nice food and a large garden.
You're fairly near Holt, which is inland but worth a look.
They also sometimes have a funfair on at Beeston.
Sheringham Park is also nearby and will be beautiful when you go.
Not sure how far you want to travel, but Roarr dinosaur park is really fun and probably within 30 minutes drive. Also around 30 minutes in the other direction, you can get to Holkham beach, absolutely beautiful, with a huge sandy beach, off the line forest and shells and seals

Mundesley is lovely, stayed there a few times. The beach there is very nice
There is a small arcade and mini golf which my kids enjoyed. At certain times in the summer they do a treasure hunt type thing you can get a map from the local shops, think we got ours from the charity shop. It took about 40mins and was great.
Hire a boat on the broads its a nice peaceful day.

I forgot about Roarr dino park the pp has said about. My kids loved this and still talk about it several years later.

Sheringham for the North Norfolk railway! Cromer for the pier and the lifeboat if you can still visit it, I’ve not been in some years. Sea Palling, also Walcott is a nice beach just up from Bacton. See if there’s any windmills still open to visit, there used to be lots when I was a kid but I think a lot of them have closed :(

Wroxham Barns 💖💖💖

Pretty Corner near Sheringham was always good for walks, we also used to go to Bacton Woods. Good for tiring out small children 😊

We had a great day family kayaking for 2 hours on the broads at Wroxham.

We also hired bikes from the hire place at bewilderwood and had a lovely day cycling alongside the railway.

Sheringham is a good day out. We ate crab sandwiches and ice cream, the kids played on the arcades we also bought a ball and bucket and spade from the shops.

Horsey windpump is fab near sea paling if you have NT membership it's "free" and brings home why Norfolk needed windmills . We went to the other NT property around there which is lovely and had games for the dc. Lots of use for NT membership in Norfolk.
