As the title says , pls can anyone recommend a hotel for me and my teen for 2 nights whistlestop tour. Well really not be there much as want to get out and about a lot. Any recommendations of quirky stuff to do too would be brilliant please.

I think others had a better budget than me. Can’t quite stretch to £200 a night. Has anyone stayed at the Maldron ? Merriom square ?

Maldrons are always a good bet! Enjoy

Actually not Pearce street - not great area.

try and stay south near canal so still central.

don’t know what this is pricing at now but it was lovely. There are a couple of Clayton’s. Both good

The Wetherspoons looks great. I’ll check out how to get there from the airport

Anywhere in this general area will be a good location and walkable to the city centre. It’s very compact. North side has lovely bits of course but much more hit and miss

If you give me your dates and max budget I’ll screenshot booking.com 😃

I came into the airport as well recently and hopped on the Dublin Express right outside T1, went as far as Temple Bar, then got on the Green Luas at Trinity a few mins walk away and went as far as Harcourt Street. Super simple. The Wetherspoons is actually fab, it’s built around an old church that’s still in the middle of the building! Lovely outdoor space and a few quiet rooms to chill out, read a book etc. as well.

That Looks super. Teen girls would love that location. Lots of vintage shops near by. You could hang in Iveagh gardens which is less known than Stephen’s Green.

If you are travelling light it’s not a long walk from the airport bus up Camden street.

Some great bars and restaurants up there. Then head up to the Aprille chipper and Portobello bridge / Rathmines.

It’s actually such a surprisingly lovely spot, I’ve stayed for work a few times and always head out for a walk in the evening, and there are soooo many food and drink options in that area and just a nice vibe. The last room I had was fab as well, it overlooked the old church in the middle and bar (zero noise issue) and the shower was enormous and newly renovated. Nice central spot as well, 2 mins from Harcourt.

Personally I wouldn’t be keen staying in Pearse Street. The Maldron Ballsbridge is a nicer area. A wee bit further out though.
Clayton Charlemont would be a good location.
The Mespil is in a good location too. But it might be out of your budget. Check it out though. There might be offers.
