Where is the safest place to live in the UK?

I currently live in a village in the Northwest, it used to be a nice and peaceful place but lately myself and my
family feel incredibly unsafe.

Both of my daughters have been harassed at the local shops, one was earlier today and they followed her home. Blocking her path with their transit van trying to talk to her as she was trying to enter my driveway. All caught on my door camera.

I can’t take my youngest to the park because other children just want to fight. I’ll be pushing my daughter on the swings and all I can see is kicking having their own boxing matches.

My son has been propositioned for fights so many times that I have lost count.

I just want to leave and go somewhere in the middle of no where. I cannot cope living here anymore.

All incidents have been reported to the police, nothing is ever done. We have a high police presence here yet people are allowed to do whatever they wish and they’re tiptoed around. This is happening to all residents, we are all at the end of our tether.

Taxis won’t bring us back to the village unless we pay upfront and with cash, just eat have stopped delivering to us because of the constant scams and refunds. The
pub is constantly being closed by the police early because of men fighting, yet the public an cannot refuse to serve them.

I feel like I’m living in a ticking timebomb. I just want to leave, or for the village to go back to how it was 20 years ago when I was a teenager.

I'm in Scotland so the NW doesn't mean Liverpool area - v far south imv.
Nw means maybe Cumbria - there's a lot of land north of the midlands (that's my iidea of Liverpool)

Liverpool is in the NW though.

West Wirral is nice and villagey.

I live in a village in the Leicestershire countryside. It feels perfectly safe, but it is an affluent, traditionally middle-class area so perhaps that’s not surprising.

If you want to live somewhere you really can leave your door unlocked & the keys in your car without worrying, try Rutland. It’s only 20 miles from the third world shithole of Leicester but feels like it’s on a different planet

Where I am has turned to shit.

Too many people from every corner of the globe.

Loads of feral youths screaming to each other on the buses , posing and playing loud music.

There was crowd of about 20 young girls looked early teens at most. They were gathered outside the Apple Store screaming, drinking alcohol…that’s new and was putting off passersby.

On the street a young girl on her knees vomiting everywhere …wearing next to nothing on a Saturday afternoon.

Saw another very tall girl wandering about in like hot pants ….cheeks out ! I kid u not …attention seeking. Kids everywhere …just why? It was beach attire not Saturday afternoon shopping in a high street.

I despair it almost feels like a bad dream you wake up from…even 5 years ago it wasn’t this bad.

It’s madness, I want to go back to the 80s.

I've a friend in Cirencester (Glos) who says it's lovely there to bring up a family. Not so much for teens to do, but there's the great outdoors and a fair few summer jobs. Decent schools too.
Expensive though!

Even leafy middle class areas like Rutland have Class A drug problems.

Oakham has it's fair share of drug dealers.

Wiltshire has the lowest crime rate and it’s a lovely county.

You can look up the local police crime map in any area you think about moving to. It gives you an idea about what type of crimes and how many. Thats what I did. You'd be shocked how much the crime levels differ in short distances.
