Children with SEN sometimes come unstuck at school and their parents feel they have to become 'reluctant home educators'. This seems to occur in years 7 and 8 a fair bit after a secondary transition hasn't resulted in a setting that can meet needs.
How will the white paper affect parents in this position?
It will be great if other changes work and more children are well supported in school and don't have this problem.
But if it does happen what will be the position for a parent wanting withdraw a child who is not coping?
