DD is determined to learn French. She wants to do an exchange. Thinking a summer holidays swap and longer exchange if that works. Any recent experiences? Agencies - which ones? We have a small income (on some benefits - but have own home and live in a nice house in Bristol near lots of great walks). So kind of hope to avoid exchanges which are loaded with expectations like big days out etc. We’ve asked her school (state) waiting for reply. Main concerns atm about cost, good match, shared interests/values, expectations from host family, safeguarding and homesickness. Thanks MN!
