What job would be a good fit for me?

What would be a good job for me? I’m autistic and I have found myself in the position of needing to find a new job. I struggle at work and so I’m looking to find a job better suited to me.

General feedback from various employers is I’m too slow (no matter the job I’m always too slow) and I need to improve communication skills. I find it difficult to build good relationships with colleagues.

So I’m looking for career/job ideas that don’t have any productivity targets (low pressure) and very few if any colleagues. I’m not sure any such job exists.

Has anyone got any ideas? I really need to earn money as I have no income at present.

This is a good place to start and it has a quick and free test:

What experience do you have? or any sector you wish to explore/avoid etc?

Why don't you write sian this strength and weaknesses and put it in here? Then we could make new informed suggestions.

Do you have any special interests?

maybe write about them here, or strengths and weaknesses as a previous poster said, and we can help brainstorm.

I am neurodivergent as well, and I’ve found a good career in library work, but it does require quite a bit of customer service, unless you get into cataloguing/ data entry type things, or budgets / collection development!
