Has anyone read Jason Bray's book on Deliverance? I was impressed by his accounts of poltergeist activity.

Yes I really enjoyed his book. He is now the Dean of Llandaff although unsure if he still does the exorcisms

As I understand it, like most priests, he views the overwhelming majority of cases to which he’s called as troubled people ascribing psychological issues to the supernatural, and almost never exorcises.

That is not quite it... I think he did or does a lot of healing and blessing of people whose distress genuinely caused 'poltergeist' phenomena, and also requiems for the dead (whereas exorcism for casting out non-human spirits is thankfully rarely needed). Iirc, he did not explain away the phenomena, but found we or our distress can cause things not scientifically explicable? The details of the cases are fascinating.

As I said, I haven't read it, but you’d have to be more than averagely gullible to believe in an invisible supernatural deity who is supposedly omnipotent and omniscient, anyway!

I do! And that He is tangible in the Eucharist and was incarnate as Christ, and is not 'supernatural' but the abiding cause of nature.

Yes, my point is that if you believe that, poltergeists etc are not a stretch.
