White feather literally landed in my hand

I went for my normal morning walk this morning, which involves going through a churchyard. No family, friends or even acquaintances are buried there, so it has no special meaning to me in any way. I stopped still to take a picture of the village green as it was looking extra beautiful in the morning sun, when a pure soft white feather fell from above...I put my hand out and it fell straight into the palm of my hand.

I know this is meant to mean loved ones that have died are near...I can't think of anyone obvious who it would be, and neither am I going through a particularly bad time at the moment (a few life stresses but nothing more than normal!).

Despite this, I can't help but feel that it 'meant' something. Any thoughts? Or a completely random thing with no meaning.

No idea but it sounds nice!
Maybe just keep an eye open for any synchronicities or coincidences that give you any clues.

I’ve been having a really rough time lately. On one particularly bad day, my front door was open and a bug beautiful butterfly flew in briefly and back out again. My Grandad had a big butterfly tattoo. It made me catch my breath and then bawl my eyes out 😆
On another bad day a white feather fell out of the sky from nowhere. I caught it and kept it, it makes me smile.

Every little thing on this Earth has meaning, if you ask me 😊
What do you think it means?

It sounds like you saw something falling, put out your hand and caught it.

We used to have to play rounders at school. When I was fielding g, I used to go and stand at the bit of the field I thought a ball was least likely to be hit. One day the ball did come in my direction, I realized this at the last minute and my hand must have automatically shot out and I caught it. It felt like it fell into my hand from nowhere and everyone laughed as I must have had that ‘surprised cat’ look on my face.

That’s all that had happened OP ime.

Birds fly, feathers fall, light things get moved in breezes. 🤷‍♀️

Our garden is full of white feathers and the mo. Pigeon under feathers. Probably the wind blew one from a tree. How many times have you had your hand out and not caught a feather?

BerthaFlapjack · 21/09/2024 09:47

I think it means a pigeon has died. Or just pulled one of its feathers out.

Nothing more or less.

Spoil sport. Bet you used to pop balloons at kids parties 🙄

I'm with @BerthaFlapjack. It means a bird lost a feather. (Or more -- our garden is full of those soft, pale underfeathers from pigeons killed by kestrels and hawks.)

An angel feather! I always try to catch falling feathers and keep them in my pocket.
