When my daughter was small she said she remembered driving around in the universe looking for the right mum. She said other things too, but that is the bit I remember

My brother used to say when I was big before I was little.
My niece when she was 2 suddenly said my mummys dead.
My sister, her mum was sitting beside her at the time and goes to her hello ! My niece said, not you my other Mummy . The naughty policeman killed her and put her in the woods. From then till just before she started school she constantly talked about her other Mummy called Jollop! She had this whole backstory of where she lived, what they did and so on.
She had either lived before, or had a very active imagination

Just placemaking - no DC but find this subject interesting.

Yes, DS2 now aged 5 had a past life in Italy, he had 2 grandads and lived with them at the side of the road. When he was tiny he always talked about his other parents in Italy, surprised he even knew where Italy was. We may go to Italy next summer to make him happy 😄 I’m in 2 minds what to believe but love hearing his stories. He’s definitely an old soul. I’m an embarrassingly new soul.

@ilovepixie did you investigate if a woman named Jollop went missing in the past?

When my son was tiny (maybe 3?), we would often drive past a particular hotel with a bar attached and he would say 'I used to go there. When I was a man with a moustache' 😁

My DS dropped out a few things when he was younger. Sitting in the garden with me he would often tell me how he used to have a picnic under a tree with his other mommy, the first time he said it I asked him what he meant…: my other mommy, but now I have to look after you. We went to a popular holiday spot and he was so excited……: I know this place! I used to come here with my other mommy! We had never been there before. One time he also told me how he used to have to shoot people when they came down in their parachutes. He was 2.

One ds2 mentioned his other mummy but not much else when I tried to get more info.

When DS1 was about two I asked him if he remembered what it was like in my tummy and he said ‘ you mean the womb - and it was very red’ I was 😮.

He also used to get unreasonably upset if we spoke French in the house - “No French, no French”!! I used to wonder if he had a bad experience in a past life.

He is older now and chose German and Spanish - still no French!!

When I was a teenager and my sister was around 3 years old we were discussing babies and how they grow into children then adults etc. She said something like "all the people must get tired growing up and then being born again and again and again!"

I have strong enduring memories from a young age of being in a place

Which I thought was heaven. There were a lot of blue irises and a beautiful lake.

Another time I visited an island in southern China and I knew my way around I already knew what was there. it was my first time in China.

My sister used to talk about her previous life in Mexico before she died in an earthquake

When DD was around 4 years old she asked if we could go back to the "white house". When I asked her what she meant she said "the white house where we used to live". We had lived in the same bungalow for 6 years, so DD had never lived in a house...let alone a white one.

I've heard that a lot, not the driving around bit but the choosing your mum bit. But then it makes you wonder why any soul would choose a drug-addled abuser...

@MassiveMassiveSalad22
This is interesting.

Have you thought about showing him some Italian stuff for kids on youtube?.
There are lots to choose from.

I'd be fascinated if the memory of the language is still there.

Ds (now grown up) told his nursery that he had 2 mummies and he was just staying with me for a while. When he was 2/3 he named his teddy bear after his brother who died when he fell out of a tree! There’s a very old street near us which is regularly used for period filming.. (similar to the shambles in York). There’s a particular shop he used to refuse to go into as he went In With his other mummy and was scared of the man in there. He point blank would not go in..

he doesn’t remember saying these things now.. but he’s an old soul, so wise beyond his late teenage years!

Not specifically but I’m sure my son is an old soul

he can just understand concepts and people so easily? Like he’s so measured
also he has endless compassion for people?

he’s super lazy and a typical young adult but there’s something
it’s like he just ‘gets’ life - not much phases him; he can always find solutions; never bitter; has genuine kindness and respect for peoples stories

its like he’s kind of seen it all before?
that prob sounds so weird but I’ve always thought he was supposed to be born

My DS used to talk a lot about 'when he was 8'... when he was around 2/3. He had a whole back story about when he used to be a little boy who apparently died when he was 8, a whole other family etc. he used to tell us very cheerfully but I used to find it incredibly sad and upsetting, just the thought of it.

He's 9 now and hasn't mentioned it in years in fact I had totally forgotten about it. But it gives me the shivers remembering

Family used to say that DS1 was an old soul, who’d been here before. He was so grown up and sensible!

He talked about his “old mum” or his other mum, and his brother Tallion and sister Fanny. Not names I can imagine he’d have heard anywhere else at that point!

Have you heard the story of the Barra boy? I looked into it at the time as I was a bit spooked by DS and this one was really detailed and lots of accuracy. His family dismissed it because he’d got a name wrong, but he knew so many other details of his life on the island, it was really touching.

When he was pre-school, DS2 used to talk about the planet he lived on before he came to earth, where everything was red. I'm guessing he had memories of the womb...
