The unexplained
Someone please offer a rational explanation?

I have a 2ft long mirror only my bedroom with led lights surrounding it, the switch to turn them on is a click twist one. I left the mirror lights on and remember seeing them as I went downstairs, I was downstairs for about 2 hours. When I came back up, the lights were off and I was annoyed as I presumed the fuse had blown since I remember them being left on. However I just went over and noticed they were twisted to the “off” setting, now I’m really confused as no one else has been in my home. Earlier I thought I heard footsteps in the room I was in, I even text my friends saying I think I’ve lost my mind because I could hear someone walking around in boots but obviously couldn’t see them, but I put it down to hallucinations since I’m on antibiotics where this is a side effect. Now I’m really creeped out.. is there a rational explanation how the lights would’ve twisted themselves to off?? If not what could this mean

The rational explanation is that they did not turn themselves off.
So, either you have a heavy footed ghost who is concerned about your electricity bill 😉 or you only think you left them on but you absentmindedly twisted the switch. We do so many things on automatic and then swear blind we did X or didn't do y because memory is notoriously unreliable.
Try not to worry. So called spooky stuff always has quite a dull explanation.

😂😂😂
Yeah it’s just really creeping me out as since I was leaving the room anyway I would’ve turned everything off by the mains socket I rarely turn the mirror off individually. But yeah I’ve had a look in every room no men in boots lurking around so I should be safe 😂

When you turned the switch to what you thought was the "off" position, you may have left it balanced in between the "on / off" position, but just close enough to the "on" position. Then through vibration the spring that should normally make the switch jump over the middle position came into action and switched off the lights. Twist switches are more susceptible to this than toggle switches and I have seen it happen.
Otherwise I would go for confusing yourself on switching it on. I have experienced that as well.

Sorry, meant to write "when you turned the switch to the "on" position."
