Not me, too much of a scaredy-cat but my son as a teen did with his friends, in a cemetery they contacted an Elizabeth, they asked what was in the afterlife and was told anything they want, when they turned round to leave, the first headstone they saw was Elizabeth Shockthey of course got scared and chucked it on a bonfire.

I'm still a bit on the fence about how 'well' they work but you couldn't pay me enough money to try one

No but my dad told me he did it with a group of friends when he was a teen. The ghost/spirit whatever it was they 'contacted' told them one of them was not safe and was referencing cars. Next day his friend was run over and died Confused May be coincidence but definitely creepy enough for me to never do it.

Spooky!
I’d love to try one, but I’d feel pretty stupid if I sat there trying and nothing happened haha!

I did, and nothing happened. My mother did as a teen and the glass flew across the room and shattered. She said none of them could have done it as they all only had a finger on the glass.

I never have but have always said I would if I got the chance.

Don't know though 😂

I remember being told a story of older relatives trying it and strange things happening - of which I can't remember the details.

I remember being scared as a child though.

Commented mostly to bump hoping to hear others stories 😄

@1Micem0use how did you do it? Do you believe your mother’s story if nothing happened for you?

@user6639291748 I’m the same I’d love to try it! Go buy a board and let me know how it goes haha! I don’t have anyone that would do it with me so if I did do it, I’d have to do it on my own. Scary Shock

I'm not entirely sure if I do believe her! She could well have just been trying to scare me out of doing it myself. Ofcourse it could've just been that no spirits were particularly interested in contacting us.

I know seances are considered a Victorian parlour game but my late DPs had one with 2 sets of neighbours in our family home. They asked if there were any messages and the words ‘Atmosphere too heavy’ were spelled out. They stopped after that as they were so scared apparantly. I would have been a toddler at the time. Growing up I used to have a major fear of the room they did the seance in. I had no idea of course till mum told me about it as an adult. It was our back room that had the piano in and where I did my music practice. When I finished if it was evening I had to turn off the table light before I left the room. I then used to run to the door across the room with my heart pounding away I was so scared. I always thought I was going to see a ghost. I never saw or heard anything ever but the fear I had in that room never went. I didn’t even like it in daylight. It just felt ‘wrong’ as I was being watched.

I would love to have a go but even thought I know the glass is being moved by the people round the table albeit subconsciously , I’d still be too scared to try after what happened with my parents.
