Jump saddle ideas!

15.2 warmblood, but VERY wide and with a very long wither - not high as such but long front to back if that makes any sense. Big shoulders.

Daughter is tiny (size 6) so doesn't need a big seat but she has massively long thighs, shes only 5'3 but has a massive 33" inside leg.

Currently in an old GFS GP which weighs an absolute ton and would like something lighter (synthetic or 50/50) as mare is nearly 23 now. Current saddle is too narrow and isnt adjustable.

Saddle fitter said a T4 cob would suit IF she wasn't jumping, but will not work with daughters long legs when riding short. I absolutely cannot afford £1000+ for something fancy.

HELP! Or are we destined to just ride on the flat?

Sorry for lack of replies - is a custom made an option? Going to be pricey but may pay off in the end as seems like an off the peg even with adjustments is going to be tricky...

My daughter also has a tiny torso with ridiculously long legs and her warmblood had very big shoulders for her size. They struggled with finding a jump saddle that fitted them both. Eventually she got a custom made Childeric which is fabulous but the downside is it cost a lot of money. They do sometimes come up secondhand - they’re not cheap even then but a slightly more manageable cost. I don’t think anyone’s going to be able to wave a magic wand sadly

We have a Cavaletti monoflap. I got it as a demo saddle so paid around £700. Massively adjustable due to changeable gullets and suits flatter backs, we have a cob X Welsh D. Both my girls who ride are leggy teens who crank stirrups up. One because she does pony racing and the other because she doesn’t want to admit she’s outgrowing her best friend 🙈. It’s a really good budget option

Also to add, they also do a dual flap jump. If the t4 cob would fit then any of the Cavalettis will

@liveforsummerthanks so much, will check those out. Unfortunately custom made definitely not an option as mare nearly 23 and we dont know whether she'll stay in work 6 months or another 6 years!

I had a 15.2 warmblood who was incredibly short in the back (wore a 5'6 rug) and had a saddle made by Bliss of London. Essentially the saddle was short enough on the back for him but also catered to my leg length (also 5"3 but all leg). It was a fnatastic saddle with big knee rolls and always felt really secure.

I think the saddle was £1300 bought through a master saddler so not cheap but priceless in the long run, always regret selling it with the horse!
