Hi,
I wondered if this might be if interest to those of you with horses.
RMJ Malta is a volunteer run charity on the island of Malta who rescue x-racing horses destined for slaughter and rehome them overseas in the UK and other countries where they have a chance of a better life in green fields (in short supply in Malta).
They raise money to part fund shipping these horses to a better life abroad in a project called 'Back to the green.'
If you have space for such a horse (a lifelong home), please consider contacting them to ask about this program. I have visited their sanctuary in Malta myself and they really do a great job rescuing horses from a horrible fate.

Honestly, the rehoming centres in the UK are full to bursting.

Better have them humanely euthanized where they are than have a long journey to the UK, quarantine, and then (let's face it) an uncertain future in the UK, because very few people can actually guarantee a retirement home for life.

Bumping for you. You never know, someone might be interested. Given some of the poor sods shipped over from Ireland in a terrible state to dealers here, I can’t see that’s any worse.
