We have just had a Arena put in however at he moment with the cost of everything soring lighting would cost another £7k ( Armoured cable needs to run 450 meters) therefore for this winter we're looking at options... has anyone successfully used Solar panel flood light with battery back up ?? like this

www.amazon.co.uk/Security-Waterproof-Outdoor-Lighting-Billboard/dp/B07L5J939S/ref=asc_df_B07L5J939S/?hvlocphy=1007126&linkCode=df0&hvptwo&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=256190693179&hvpone&hvlocint&hvpos&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl&hvqmt&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&hvtargid=pla-664434434054&hvrand=11078459371604559661

if so pro's & cons .. any other suggestions more than welcome.. TIA

Not for an arena but we’ve got similar solar powered lights for the tack room and tie up area at our yard - they are surprisingly powerful, but ours are triggered by motion which would be very annoying in an arena!

We have arenamate solar lights on our 20x40 school and I like them. I've had them installed for nearly 7 years and they are still working well. The battery isn't as good as it used to be, but I have a feeling I need to clean the solar panels and that would sort it.

I spent around 1k on 6 of them so they aren't a cheap option, but significantly better value than running electricity out there. I've mounted them on scaffold poles and the fixings they come with fit perfectly on the scaffold. You use a remote control to turn them on and it lights up a 20 x 40 up nicely.
