Riding stock - ready tied?

Getting DD a riding stock, and don’t know whether it’s a faux pas to have a ready tied one - seem to be lots of them for sale?! Although I’ve seen other people wearing them I’ve never seen them put them on...

The untied ones are much nicer IMO - dd has some lovely ones from here

And we got her a beautiful antique stock pin from here

There are lots of instructions on how to tie a stock plus plenty of YouTube videos - it’s nowhere near as hard as you think!

I always used a stock I tied myself for hunting and cross country to help protect my neck but got my Daughter a ready tied one for showing as it was so much neater

If you want it for neck support and protection, untied are best as more robust material, and they double up round your neck when tied. If for showing then either is fine. They're not hard to tie, just look up on youtube, my daughter learnt to do her own that way xx
