Tail position - does it indicate an underlying issue?

I'm trying to find any studies regarding the carrying position of a horses tail and its relation to possible chronic injury and or pain. Can't find anything that is physiologically based.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Sorry I don’t know of any studies but my physios always said that a tail carried crooked to one side may be an indication of an issue.

My horse carries his tail to one side. Got it checked and no issues. Passed a vetting like it and doesn't bother him. When he's stronger in his core he doesn't do it as much.

I was told that if a horse has always done it then there’s nothing to worry about, however any change should be investigated
