Recommend me some wellies!

After yet another pair dying on me after only 4 months I'm at a loss of what to do.

I've tried Hunters, Joules (last 1 year each) and last time I went for a Musto pair really nice neoprene lined and comfy but they split in 3 months and the replacement pair I got musto to send did the same so definitely ones to avoid!

I work full time for the NHS and my horses live out, I don't tend to wear wellies May to September so they don't have a hard life, just used for dog walking and bringing the horses in and out of the field in winter, neither done on a daily basis! Wellies are hosed off and kept indoors afterwards.

I need a pair that is going to last and not leak after 5 minutes of use! Preferably neoprene lined as I use them mainly in winter.

Thanks!

The trouble with the work style ones is the size.... I'm only a 4 so a lot don't go that small. They're also rather cold as don't tend to be neoprene lined and I have raynauds so need the warmth

Agile again

I walk dogs probs 75miles a week plus daily horse stuff.

I practically live in them.

Treated myself for my birthday a couple years ago and they are the best wellies I've ever come across.

Town & country charnwood boots, only last 2 winters but cost less than £30 on amazon. Really toasty

Gumleaf neoprene lined wellies. They're excellent.

Another vote for Muckboot. Have tried masses of others (inc Aigle, Hunter) which split or leaked within a year. Now on a pair of purple Muckboots that I got in a sale 2 yrs ago, still perfect despite near constant rain last winter and daily abuse. Totally hideous but v comfortable, warm and most importantly waterproof.

True enough about work wellies being big. I’m an 8/9 do it’s an advantage to me! I wear them with sheepskin insoles and knee length woolen socks in winter - the type of socks meant to go with plus fours or kilts.

I have returned several pairs of Joules boots over the years for leaking - IMHO they are just fashion boots. Have had Century for a couple of years but have just started to let water in. Mil swears by Aigle so will try those next. Wet wellies are entirely frustrating!
