Groundwork exercises

I have a very anxious horse who has panic attacks at shows etc and has issues with separation but is excellent in company. He isn't spooky, this is anxiety.
I'm looking for recommendations for YouTube videos for groundwork that I can do with him to improve his trust in me as his owner and help him learn to cope with life a bit better.

I can recommend straightness training. It's great for in hand classical work, doing basic dressage groundwork exercises to build trust and partnership with your horse.
I have a Spanish mare who can be quite flighty, before I started this she wouldn't even go past the scary end of the school without spooking or running away from me.
After doing this work for a few years now, I can do a good number of the exercises and have a much better trust with my horse. She will go round the entire of the arena listening nicely and is very responsive and willing.
It also hugely helps with evenness and suppleness which I think is really important for training.

Do you know if any books/ YouTube videos @Beetrootbonanza?

Their website - straightnesstraining.com - has a free e book, there are also some videos and an ecourse you can sign up for, though it's a bit pricey.
I read the ebook and had several lessons with an instructor and went to one of the clinics, and found that was all I needed. If you've dove some dressage then it's should be pretty straightforward, and if not the ebook and online videos are clear to follow. The most difficult bit is when you and the horse both are novices to begin with, it gets easier the more you do!

Yes we've done dressage with a classical instructor so this appeals to me thanks!
