Affordable dressage boots?

I am returning to riding after a year out to have a baby
My beautiful 15+ year old Cavallo boots (no zip!) are too tight and my Ariat Bromonts of 5 years have literally disintegrated!
I’d love a pair of chocolate bromonts for at home but it’s too much £££ right now and I think black is more practical
Please could you recommend me a boot in the £100-150 range? Thanks

Really you're going to have to try loads on to find ones that a) fit well and b) are comfortable. I'd suggest buy a copy of Local Rider and get your free tickets to the Longines RIHS at Hickstead later this week (or get free tickets from someone at Pony Club) and go try a shed load on.
Daughter has wanted proper boots for ages, we are still replacing her competition boots - she has a pair for competition only that eventually become general riding boots when the general ones give up the ghost - with short boots and chaps because we can't find anything she likes, that fits, and is in a decent budget.

I bought a pair of bromont boots for £160 on eBay. Brand new. Still on here OP...

You can use short boots and gaiters so long as they match. It's often a cheaper option and the boots can be worn on other occasions, especially if you look after them.

My daughter has a £40 pair of Dublin jodhpurs boots she wears with chaps. Both highly polished on the day. They are rarely out of the money even with the handicap of competing on a cob!

I'm sure I only paid £120-ish for my black Mark Todd boots (I have exceptionally short legs and they come in a short length). But they are really nice quality! Might have been a special deal somewhere though online -always worth checking to see if anywhere has any deals on.

Keep your old boots as it can take YEARS for your feet/calves to go back down to size x

What size are you? I have a brown pair of Size 5 brown Bromints, medium calf for sale. They’re too big for me!

I bought some boots from decathlon.. about £80 and they are genuinely the most comfy boots to ride in. They have an elastic part around the calf.
Not by any means top of the range. It I wear them for lower level dressage and they look fine x

I just bought a pair of Derby House Elite boots for my daughter, £85 in the sales. They look great and are made of lovely soft leather.
