Found a super 18 yr old pony club school
Master. Who would teach my children so much. Total gentleman. Five star manners Been vetted. Looks healthy and fit all good but has Cushings.

What should I do?

Just to update. He has started the medication. Tests in a month. Vet thinks he will prob only need half a tablet.

And he is a STAR. Mad half term of riding by all three children. 4,8 and 11. He changes his tempo to each child. Wiggles his nose in excitement all the time we ride.

All the children have progressed more in the last week than in a year of lessons. So glad we took the plunge. Thanks all!

Puppymouse we have him at home with a really flexible big turn out yard. So can easily manage turnout time. I am sorry you had such difficulty.

Excellent news! He sounds a gem. I think having a loan horse with a condition that needed managing like that on a livery Yard was a mistake but I loved her and wanted to keep her as long as I could. But so glad he’s worked out for you.

UPDATE

So we have had Mr Wiggle Nose for a year. Bought by the power of Mumsnet.

He has changed our lives. We now have three horses! He is such a joy. He taught us how fab riding with the right pony can be. My daughters have progressed beyond all belief. We now all ride together. What seemed like a leap of faith a year ago - is a no brainer today.

He is also teaching my little boy. He changes his pace according to his rider. He is everything we hoped for and more.

Well done Mumsnet!

What a lovely story! You could put a video on YouTube or twitter, that would be great x

Theresahairbrushinthefridge · 04/11/2018 16:28

I may not be able to post a video but this is the joy he brings. And if you look very closely you can see his nose is over to one side - mid wiggle.

So adorable. Would love my own DD to end up with a horsey friend like that!

So lovely

Horses are really annoying when they break and cot loads of money but my God they're good for the soul.
