Moving to Hampshire next month, does anyone have any recommendations for where I can take dressage lessons? We will be near Winchester. Thanks

This is about 15 miles from Winchester. Its easy to get to either on the M27 or on the B3354, takes about 20 mins.

tiggyhop which side of Winchester will you be? Woodhams in Kings Worthy have some good dressage clinics, as do Woodingtons in Wellow. Sparsholt college also has training and events, all three are closer than pinkmead. Both Winchester Riding club and Chilworth riding club organise training and events in the area too so worth checking them out. There are some fantastic facilities and instructors around here so you will definitely find something :)

What level of dressage? And what part of Winchester? And I can recommend some private instructors.

Sounds like cats is in same area as me as I would recommend all those clubs as well.

Thanks so much! We are in Houston and have been flooded so I haven't had a chance to reply. We will be in Alresford so Kings Worthy sounds great. I am pretty experienced.

But I should say I won't have my own horse.

Oh gosh tiggyhop I hope you are all OK.

I think it is still worth looking at Woodhams in Kings Worthy, I think they may do lessons and provide horses. There's also a livery/riding school at Stockbridge who provide lessons without the need for your own horse. A bit further afield is Wellington Riding, who would also be worth a call.

I hope all goes well getting everything sorted and you are still able to move as planned.

Stockbridge riding school is great, for lessons and especially for hacking- direct access onto national Trust land at Stockbridge down, so no road work. The horses are lovely.

Thank you so much!! We were meant to be there last week but are still stuck in Houston trying to get a flight out. I can't wait to get over there and start checking out your recommendations. Our house here is only accessible by boat still but the waters are dropping and we are fine. It has been crazy and so awful for so many people.

Quob is also not far.

Join the Facebook page Hampshire Hooves and ask there, stating your standard of riding and what level you're competing at. I'm sure you'll get some really good suggestions.
