I hope he is OK. Wishing him a speedy recovery. His poor family.

Oh dear Sad that doesn't sound good; here's hoping for better news in the future for him and his family

Update here, apparently he's conscious, breathing on his own and communicating with doctors and family. He's not out of the woods but it's good news.

Thanks Pixel. Hoping he can make a full recovery.

Just seen that on twitter - what a relief.

standclear · 26/10/2015 19:44

Another statement here.

Thank heavens he is conscious and breathing on his own. I won't be posting any more on here but wishing him and his family well for what sounds like a long road ahead.

He's out of intensive care Smile.

Thanks for the update carabos. I can't believe the lack of media mention. (I'd hate his family to suffer from press intrusion but he's such a well known sportsperson I would expect more interest.)
Hoping this is just the next step towards a full recovery. Thinking of him, his family and all who love him.

To be fair all of the sporting news is carrying updates, from the local paper, BBC Sport to Fox and Hounds, all the news that covers any sport is covering his progress, nice and low key, as requested.

glad to hear he is now at home and hopefully on way to recovery.
