Per hour? Will they be mucking out, etc?

Missunreasonable · 07/09/2014 19:05

Private or group lesson?

TheHoundsBitch · 07/09/2014 19:06

I'm in Herts and would expect to pay £10-12 for a half hour group lesson.

No mucking out or anything like that. I've been quoted £15 per half hour.

£15 per half hour is about right. 4 years ago I was paying £14 per child per half hour for a group lesson (up to 6 in the group) or £20 per child for half hour semi private lesson (2 in the group) or £28 per half hour for a private lesson.

EnlightenedOwl · 07/09/2014 20:36

I would say £15 is fair I pay £24 for an adult group lesson and I think the children's introduction rides (half hour) are about £14 or £15

When my DD used to ride it was £20/hour (that was eight years ago)
It was a big class, in retrospect I should have gone for a much smaller class, even if I only got 30 minutes , she would have got more active riding time.
Otherwise in a big group, (like she was in) they wait ages to trot round in turn.

So I'd agree £15 / half hour is okay
