I'm selling my darling horse, 1 of the 2 has to go and I can't bear to part with my youngster Hmm

A lovely lady came to see him last Saturday and is coming again tomorrow. I feel utterly treacherous but she seemed to like him and him her. I've been so worried that no one will want him as he's quite quirky and sharp.

Bit of a pointless post really but I desperately want her to buy him. Please cross fingers Smile

crossing fingers AND holding your hand, such is the magic of the internet

hope she buys him and they go on to be happy together (and that you feel good about it) Flowers

Thanks Mitchy, she just wants a horse to hack really and for all his quirks, he excels at that! He's so amazing in traffic though he'll put in a spook at a dodgy coloured leaf!

I rode him whilst I was pregnant up to 7 1/2 months (I got so large I couldn't do his girth up!) and I would never have done so if I was worried about it.

My youngster is just going to be amazing and I'm so excited about him, he's my dream horse you see, a gorgeous black PRE (Andalusian), he's so bright and I've worked so hard with him having surprised myself with how good a job I've done! I just can't let that go I'm afraid!

best of luck for you, the new owner and your boy

The alternative is one of your horses sitting twiddling his hooves in the field, which is not a good one! When I bought my last horse it was as much an interview process for the sellers as a buying one for me - I rode him 3 times, they came to see my house and other horse and we spent a lot of time chatting and making sure that each of us were comfortable with the decision. They had already turned down one previous buyer as they didn't feel the right vibes!

3 years on and we're still in touch intermittently and when he was diagnosed with kissing spine and they heard about it they offered to take him back - really nice people who wanted the best for the horse.

If you get a good feeling from this buyer, then chances are you'll be able to keep tabs on your horse and know you've done the right thing. Good luck, hope it goes well.

Good luck, hope the buyer turns out to be a new friend to you and a great owner for your horse. I'm sure if she's the right lady she'll stay in touch.

Thanks for your posts, well she's decided to buy him and I really am pleased, he'll have a good home with her and do what he loves - hacking and no schooling!

I also feel sad, though I am relieved, he's been a huge part of my life and who I am. As they say, one chapter ends and another starts.

Good :]

So his vetting is Thursday and then he'll go on Friday Hmm

I gave her a 30 day buy back period said isn't want her to have him on trial (too many pitfalls!)

Now he just needs to behave himself for a month!! Smile
