"She is 2 years old..." Hmm Confused Shock Grin and any other emoticon you can think of
This is a direct quote from an add in our local tack shop!

2 years poor thing should be enjoying her foal-hood but I suppose you can guess what it will be like when broken

Incapinka · 03/12/2013 17:54

Some people are bonkers. That is all.

I once saw an ad for a 10hh (or mabe was 11hh) 2 year old quiet allrounder Grin Hmm

mrslaughan · 04/12/2013 11:22

I often read ad's like this - and think how stupid do people think others are......but then unfortunately some people do get sucked in by this kind of thing.

I have a lovely home bred rising 3yo Sec A. He's a total pet, but he's obviously unbroken. He could be satan on hooves under saddle, we wont know until we do it, so Id never advertise him as a perfect childs pony! Confused As MrsL says, this is how novices get sucked into crappy situations!

BTW Saggy - there's a Monty Roberts/Kelly Marks demo at Ingatestone early next year, would you and/or and Lou be interested? I might be able to get discounted seat prices and it would be interesting to chat about.

I am no novice but have recently bought a cross welsh section d who is the biggest twat going. Love him to bits but oh my goodness what a wake up call

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/12/2013 22:38

Oooh, possibly, money is usually a bit tight on January, and I now have a flipping vet visit to pay for, but it might be fun!

Tickets are £25 now and go up to £30 nearer the time, it's not until March though. Hope the vet visit wasn't to expensive.

Butkin · 05/12/2013 12:28

We went to look at 3 three year olds yesterday with an eye on next season. We liked them all but wouldn't buy one (and they wouldn't actually sell them) until they have been broken in. We'll call back to see them between Christmas and New Year to see how they are coming on.. Buying children's ponies before they have their tack on is a gamble. If you buy them cheap as youngsters and turn them away fair enough but otherwise wait until you can at least sit on them.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/12/2013 13:16

Vet is coming in a minute. Unfortunately im going to rather busy having a baby in march! But thanks for the invite. I'll see if Lou is up for it and let you know. Smile
