Ok, I advertised my cremello pony for sale.... today I thought I would give him a nice bath as the weather is good and somebody is coming to see him.
This is what the little troll looked like 30 seconds after I put him in the field...

I dont have the time or patience to bath him again... any ideas?

I think gelding is the only option really, though have sent a message about stallion/colt livery close to where I am moving to.
I have the vet coming out tomorrow to check him over! (Vets love me lol).

Hopefully he's fine, he seems it, but I really want to be sure! :)

It would be great if you could find stallion livery! Don't blame you for getting him checked over, better safe than sorry and all that!

Do you have a pic of him in his glorious non-muddy state? I would love a nosey!

I'm so glad that he's back.Well done to your OH for bringing him home!

LowRegNumber · 25/05/2012 17:16

What did the vet have to say?

hickerybobp · 25/05/2012 18:58

Hi everybody, the vet said he is fine! He checked his teeth for me aswell as he seemed a bit off his feed (he's usually a very greedy pony) and the vet said they are ok.
He was stamping his feet a bit and I thought "OH NO HE HAS MITE" but the vet had a look and its actually that he has loads of little ticks on his feet! I've got some shampoo that the vet said would kill them all off so he is going to be bathed again tomorrow!
He was very well behaved for the vet though.

Here's a couple of pictures of him taken before his adventure.

He's a very pretty boy when he's not filthy (at least I think so, OH says he looks like a Moomin).

I'm still debating if I can keep him or not, as I'm moving I really dont think I will be able to (also I dont drive and that makes things harder). I thought about loaning him out, but as he is young I dont think there would be much interest.

Oh he is very sweet! He would look lovely all done up in the show ring! (I must admit to laughing at moomin though!)

You have to do what is right for you and dpony at the end of the day, you could call up the lady you thought sounded good and try again?
