Daughter had a horrible fall yesterday, I am wondering when you decide to call it a day? Don't mean sell him or give up schooling but to say 'no, YOU can't ride him until you are older and bigger and or he has pretty much definitely grown out of being such a shit'.

:(

thanks everyone, am reluctant to do anything we can't easily undo if that makes sense

am even wondering if it was a full moon thing Blush there does seem to be some sort of cycle. He's been fantastic today.

Could be mitch - I had to get off and lead on Sunday and the asshat's knees knocked together when she saw a grate in the road before she jumped on me! HmmGrin

I'm glad to hear he's doing better though!

CotswoldCountryMummy · 23/03/2011 17:27

have you had his back checked? A mum at pony club was having the same problem with her daughters pony, and it turned out that his back was out. Just a thought. Or could be a wolf tooth??

MitchiestInge · 23/03/2011 21:52

Teeth is good thought, he missed the dentist last time. It probably isn't, he's too ok too much of the time, but it never does any harm to check does it?

He was really really funny today, good boy on quite exciting hack, impeccably behaved and nerves of steel when we had to squish aside to let scary agricultural machinery pass. But when he saw a frog, hahaha. Better still, I went back to get tiny bit of all the frogspawn he'd spotted (am sure this is very wrong) but it was only across the field, they'll find their way, ended up stuck in the ditch absolutely soaked. Think my boots are ruined. Do I deserve some Dubarrys, at 30% off?

Went back on my word and let daughter sit on him and have a walk round the school a few times, on lead rein.
