:( are Dartmoors really boring?

:( thought would be next best thing to saggy's shetland but my daughter thinks they're 'boring'. Is she spoilt and shall I just keep him for myself? Idea was 1. undo the pair bonding thing a bit by having a 3rd and 2. something else for her to ride, build confidence and play with while her pony is still being a twat learning the ropes.

No I whinged too soon, she is fine with him living out in summer. At least he is dinky and can live in the barn in winter. Tried him with daughter today, we are both head over heels. Can definitely do pony club on him, am pleased she has something little and safe to have fun on while she is not too tall. It was only the second time he'd cantered in goodness knows how long and he had a little trouble getting correct lead leg on left rein, but otherwise a dream. Swoon.

Yay!!! This is exciting for you! So your daughter has come around to the idea of a Dartmoor then? :)

Very much so, they are great together and it's nice to watch her ride and not worry about explosive bucking episodes - finally spoke to owner tonight and she is happy for us to start part loan right away, full loan in summer when he can live with our other two. She just wants him to be loved which I think we can safely guarantee to deliver :)
