Teachers- what time do you get to school and leave?

I am two weeks away from finishing my PGCE and I have a job lined up for September.

I have been told the school are very happy with any times as long as planning is sorted and you are there before children arrive etc.

Currently I arrive between 7-7:20am and leave 4-4:30pm latest unless there is a meeting. This is on placement.

I am curious what other teachers do!

Most people at my school seem to be in the 'arrive early, leave early' camp, or the 'arrive later, leave later camp'.

I'm in the latter crew as I'm really not a morning person. I'm usually in 8:00am (8:15 in heavier traffic) and leave around 5:30pm. Several colleagues are more like 7:15-4pm. It's whatever works best for you, based on your own personal circumstances, as long as the work is done. A few people arrive 8:15ish and have left by 4pm but I'm pretty certain they need to do more at home in the evenings/weekends than I do. Whatever works for you.
