All day primary walk

The male headteacher of our primary school has organised a full day circular walk with toilets only in the car park ie the very beginning and end of the day.He has been very dismissive of the situation saying the kids can go for a 'wild wee'.
A colleague has IBS. I am starting my period the day before which is very heavy and i need to change my sanpro every couple of hours or so. Somebof the older girls have started their periods. One of the kids needs an injection in their thigh mid day, and others require medication. I am sure some of the children will need more than a wee.
On top of that it is forecast to rain all day!
Any advice?

Ask to see the event planning/health and safety plans that should have been sent to the educational visits coordinator: I suspect his ridiculous idea will fall apart at this hurdle!

Mention Risk assessments. See of you can find Duke of Edinburgh guidance for Camping and expeditions to support you concerns.

Giant Hogweed and stinging nettles are a very real danger for youngsters. The closest I have come to this is walking a class to Forest School - the walk took 40 minutes, it felt so much longer.

However the idea of wild weeing (a ridiculous situation) is a massive safe guarding issue and you also have difficulties with dogs of leads. Along with ponds and streams.

My advice is don't do it, if that is an option.

Your union rep needs to have a word!

He’s suggesting for children to urinate in public by having a ‘wild wee’ - gettting their genitals out?

wow just wow! How is he a Headteacher?

This trip needs to be revised or stopped altogether.

This sounds completely ridiculous. Surely parents won’t agree if they know about it.
I agree re risk assessments. Where’s the Health and Safety for staff.
I was a union rep in school for years I’d have definitely been having a word! Along the lines of do I need Regional Office Health and Safety exec person.
