Should I tell my headteacher about my autism diagnosis?

Im a primary teacher of almost 20 years. Ive recently been diagnosed autistic.
Question - do i tell my HT? Ive been told its dont have to unless I want reasonable adjustments, and honestly I dont know what adjustments he could make to help me.
Any advice very welcome.

Been here working for local authority. Check your contract. It could cause problems if you are ever off sick because of your autism or its likely to impact your work performance and you haven't informed HR of this diagnosis. Your direct managers don't necessarily need to know if it doesnt impact your work and no adjustments are required.

Honestly, I wouldn’t unless there is something specific you want.

Have you needed time off in the last 20 years? I'm assuming that there's a reason you went for diagnosis.

It’s one thing to bring it up as ‘I have been diagnosed with autism and would like to request (for instance) parents evening appointments to be in the hall not the canteen because of acoustics’ (the ones in our canteen are awful!)

Just a ‘I want to inform you I am autistic’ comes across as a little attention seeking to be honest.
