Take home pay on M6 mornings only and holiday pay?

I am currently doing it on supply and being paid at m2. I've been offered a termly contract at m6.
When I went on the calculators I was only coming out at £20 ish more per month. Is it pension contributions or have I made a mistake?

Also do short term contracts cut out the holiday dates? I have seen suggestions that it's paid pro rata but can't work out what that means for me.

If it’s mornings only would that be a 0.5 contract?

Not sure. I need to ask for more details. I don't want to sound completely stupid which is a real danger in this case!

From what I've read some schools do it at 0.5 and some at 0.6. I think the supply agency are paying at 0.6.

It’s hard to tell without the actual figures, but I suppose if you were working full time when doing supply on M2, but 0.5 or 0.6 on M6, there wouldn’t be all that much difference between the two. Plus you’ll get holiday pay and pension contributions, all for fewer working hours. Sounds like a win!

Mornings only is normally 0.6, with a typical teaching day of 3 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.

I did mornings for several years and was paid 0.6

Do you not get a higher daily rate on supply to make up for loss of pension / holiday pay? So your salary on M6 will feel lower but you'll get paid pension and holidays, so more overall?

Higher pay on Supply to make up for pensions? I take it you haven’t had a Supply role.

After 12 weeks you are entitled to equivalent pay (but not pension).

Take your point on scale, add in SEN, London weighting, London fringe payments etc

Work out your 0.6 annual salary. Divide this by 195.That should be your daily rate.

I've been doing the mornings on supply since September. The school have set the pay for the role at M2. I pay about £15 per month for the agency pension and I get just over £20 holiday pay. I come home with just over £400 per month.
