12 yo threatening to reenact terrorist attack

Hello, a 12 yo child in my class (with diagnosis autism level 2) seems very depressed and anxious in recent weeks and has become very preoccupied with the idea of reenacting a specific terrorist attack. He is very preoccupied with the details of what he will do etc.
Could anyone give advice on how we should manage this situation and help him? He has had emergency appointments with outside services already but they haven't given us that much practical advice.
He has no history of aggression or behavioural issues. He is usually quiet and pleasant but would have always seemed to fit PDA profile to some extent
Many thanks

Follow the guidance from your Prevent training. Most schools have a designated Prevent lead on their safeguarding team.

Thanks that's interesting I hadn't heard of that program as am in Ireland.
He doesn't seem in any way interested in the politics of it but rather just the shooting/blowing up part.

Ohh I see. It may be different in Ireland. In the UK that would be raised as an immediate safeguarding concern and the child would then be referred to the Prevent programme and MASH (who would likely refer on to social services and the police). I would be concerned about grooming.

There must be a Prevent equivalent in Ireland. Refer to designated safeguarding lead. This is bigger than your role and support needed.

That that would be an immediate safeguarding / Prevent referral in the UK.

I appreciate it’s different in Ireland, but the guidance still might help: www.support-people-susceptible-to-radicalisation.service.gov.uk
